You haven't met passion for trees until you've met Russell Clark. He doesn't just relocate trees – he redefines how you think about your landscape, trees, and the environment through pure, infectious passion.

‍From Timber to Trees: Russell's journey began in 1994 as a Wood Machinist and Joiner, where he first fell in love with working with timber. But it wasn't until he discovered living trees that his true calling emerged. By 1998, he'd completed his trade and was already shifting toward arboriculture – drawn by the challenge of preserving rather than processing Australia's magnificent specimens.

‍The Toowoomba Years: From 2002 to 2005, Russell honed his craft as Senior Tree Surgeon with Toowoomba City Council, where he developed the expertise that would later revolutionise tree relocation across Queensland. It was here that he realised traditional approaches weren't enough – trees needed an advocate, not just a contractor.

‍A Vision Becomes Reality: In late 2005, Russell took the leap that changed everything. He established Ace of Spades with one mission: prove that no tree is too large, too precious, or too challenging to relocate successfully.

‍Beyond Queensland: Russell's expertise has taken him from mine site Bottle Tree relocations to designing installations for the National Arboretum in Canberra. His arboriculture reporting has supported major infrastructure projects including the Brisbane Tunnel Project and Airport Link. International clients from Abu Dhabi to Dubai seek his advice on complex arbor projects.

‍The Human Touch: Despite building Australia's largest tree relocation business, Russell still personally handles community projects – from backyard tree climbing to stump grinding. Because for him, every tree matters, regardless of the project size.

‍Russell doesn't just move trees – he preserves legacies, creates possibilities, and turns the impossible into inevitable.
